Welcome to Sunrise Cottages — Your Peaceful Getaway in the Catskills!
Tucked along the scenic border of Sullivan and Ulster Counties, Sunrise Cottages is a charming, close-knit bungalow community nestled on five lush, mostly wooded acres. We’re a warm and welcoming mix of families, retirees, artists, writers, and creatives of all kinds—many of us proudly call NYC home for the rest of the year.
Located in the sweet hamlet of Spring Glen, New York, we’re just a short drive from Ellenville, Wurtsboro, and Mountaindale. Whether you’re here to relax, create, connect, or explore, you’ll find your place among the trees and trails.
Our seasonal community (open from spring through fall) features a shared swimming pool for those sunny afternoons and a thriving community garden for anyone with a green thumb—or a curious spirit!

Our Structure
At Sunrise Cottages, every bungalow owner is also a shareholder, which means everyone has a voice in shaping our vibrant community. We’re guided by a democratically elected board, but most big decisions are made together, as a community.
Each shareholder contributes annual dues and taxes that help keep our shared space running smoothly. These dues cover electricity, garbage removal, lawn care, and access to all of our wonderful amenities—including a sparkling pool, a lively community garden, a fun-filled playground, a basketball court, and a cozy community building stocked with games and space to gather.
Plus, with four wooded acres to hike, wander, and explore, there’s always something new to discover right outside your door.
